*** 2005 "THE COLUMN" THEATRE AWARDS RULES & GUIDELINES
***
Here are the rules, guidelines, and regulations regarding eligibility
for the 2005 "The Column" Theatre Awards.
(1) For a play or musical, its production staff, its performers, etc. to
be eligible for the 2005 Column theater awards, there are two ways in
which the production can be deemed eligible:
-
(A) The production was observed and/or reviewed by
the Executive Director/Producer or an appointed Advisory Board member.
However only those board members specifically appointed by the Executive
Director/Producer are acceptable.
AND/OR
-
(B) The official program/playbill from that production
was submitted to the Executive Director/Producer and/or Advisory Board
Member. The program/playbill may ONLY be submitted by the following: The
Artistic Director, Producer(s), Director, Publicity Chairperson, Musical
Director, Choreographer, Stage Manager, Guild President, or performer
who was in the actual production of the playbill/program being
submitted.
(2) ONLY Productions produced and mounted in the
Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area are eligible (This includes Denton Texas,
Arlington Texas, Terrell Texas as well). If you are not sure if your theater
company is eligible, please contact the Executive Director/Producer
immediately.
(3) Productions produced and mounted between October 1,
2004 and November 30, 2005 are eligible for the 2005 Awards. NOTE: If the
production was in the 2004 eligibility season and was considered eligible
last season, it cannot be eligible this year.
(4) Annual Christmas Productions are not eligible.
(5) FRAUD, MISREPRESENTATION, FALSE INFORMATION, FAKE
NAMES, etc. will not be accepted or tolerated. Too much time, energy, and
man-hours are spent on the electronic ballot to have these sort of
situations occur.
It is the sole responsibility of the Theater Company to
double check the master ballot (when it will be available to the
subscribers) to make sure correct names, etc. are listed with their theater
companies and its productions. If there are errors, misinformation, etc. on
the master ballot, please contact the web designer immediately.
However if this error is not corrected and it is discovered
after the master ballot has been officially opened for voting, the following
will happen:
The theater company in which this errors is discovered will
have its entire eligible list of productions, nominees, etc. to be
disqualified and/or cannot be submitted. Thus it is the responsibility of
each theater company to make sure all names, etc. are correct prior to
submitting. |
